Heather began her career as a regional admissions counselor at Grand Canyon University, where she focused on recruitment and built lasting relationships with regional community colleges and prospective students. She then transitioned to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she spent six years as a financial aid counselor, helping students navigate the complexities of financial aid and ensuring their success in higher education.
Heather holds a master's degree in higher education counseling and student affairs from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a bachelor's in applied sociology from Eastern Michigan University. These academic qualifications provide her with a solid foundation in social science research, data analysis and understanding diverse student populations.
With a strong commitment to student success and academic achievement, Heather is dedicated to equipping students with the resources and support they need to succeed in their higher education aspirations. Outside of work, Heather resides in Central Oregon with her partner, Anders, and their dog, Kubo.
